Greenwater Lakes

| MAY 19, 2007 - A Mountaineers hike.
It was cool and rainy as we set off on this hike through a magnificent
old-growth forest. The trail follows the Greenwater River and
passes two small turquoise lakes (Meeker Lakes) before it enters the
Norse Peak Wilderness. We ate lunch at a riverside campsite and
explored several other campsites before returning to the trailhead.
On the return trip, the sky suddenly cleared and the sun started
shining, giving a perfect ending to this wonderful outing.
