Salmon la Sac Snowshoe
| MARCH 17, 2007 - We snowshoed through the Cayuse Horse
Camp, across the Cle Elum River, past the Salmon la Sac campground, up a
service road, and on a narrow trail through a small valley on St.
Patrick's Day. It was a warm, sunny day when we left the Sno Park,
but it was starting to rain by the time we got back. We spent an
enjoyable, leisurely lunch admiring the views before heading back.
The weather became worse as we headed west on I-90, becoming foggy and
wet, wet, wet from Stampede Pass on. We were not sorry that we had
spent such a pleasant day in such mild weather.
