Notes from the Trail
2006
| 2006 was a great year for hiking and backpacking.
Summer brought weekend after weekend of beautiful weather to
Western Washington this year, and the trails were in great
shape until the fall storms hit hard. I hiked all over Western Washington, journeyed to
the Oregon side of the Columbia Gorge, and ventured onto the
eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountains, and it's impossible to
say which was my favorite hike of the year. I loved
them all.
